RuimteDocs

Needs you

Ruimte lists every agent that waits for an answer, across views, projects and devices.

Where you see it

  • Node and tab headers. A terminal or chat that waits reads Needs you.
  • The sidebar. Needs you, above the views, lists what waits, oldest first. To include your other open projects, turn on Settings, General, Needs you across projects.
  • The dock. Under a canvas, the dock counts what waits and what works.
  • The canvas. Questions and approvals of the canvas's agents stack above the dock. Step through them, fold them, or click a title to go to its node.

Answer a chat's request right in its card. For a terminal agent, the card has Go to terminal, since you answer in the terminal.

Jump to what waits

ShortcutAction
CtrlAltPGo to the next node that needs you, in any view, oldest first
CtrlAltShiftPOpen the attention queue: what waits, and turns that finished while you were away
CtrlShiftPMove the keyboard to the questions and approvals on the canvas

Snooze an agent

Hover a waiting agent and click the snooze button. Choose 10 minutes, 1 hour or Tomorrow. The agent leaves the list and raises nothing until the snooze ends.

Notifications

Ruimte notifies you when an agent needs you or finishes. Turn its sound on or off under Settings, Agents, Notification sound.

With the iPhone app, a notification reaches your phone only once you step away from your computer. A question waits a minute and an approval ten seconds. If you answer in that time, your phone stays quiet. See Phone and web.

Keep the computer awake

A computer that sleeps pauses every agent on it. Set Settings, Agents, Keep awake:

ChoiceThe computer stays awake
OffNever; it follows your system settings
While agents workOnly while an agent works
AlwaysAlso when no agent works

Below it, turn on Also on battery, Keep display on and, on a Mac, Also with the lid closed. The lid setting asks once for an administrator password.
