Computer use
On a Mac, computer use lets an agent see and operate another app with a cursor of its own. It reaches only the apps you let it into.
Turn on computer use
- Open Settings, Agents, Computer use.
- Turn on Allow computer use on followed by your Mac's name.
- Click Open System Settings and allow Accessibility and Screen Recording for Ruimte.
- Come back to Ruimte, where Screen Recording takes effect.
Let an agent into an app
The first time an agent wants an app, Ruimte asks Let an agent use Mail? (or the app it wants):
| Choice | Effect |
|---|---|
| Allow this time | Until the agent's turn ends |
| Always allow | Every agent on this Mac may use the app from now on |
| Deny | The agent does not get the app |
Ruimte asks in every permission mode, Full access included. Settings, Agents, Computer use lists the apps under Allowed apps; Remove takes one off.
An agent never operates a terminal app, whatever you allowed. If you let an agent into Ruimte itself, it can do anything you can there.
While an agent works
The agent works with its own cursor, behind your windows where it can. One agent operates the Mac at a time.
| Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|
| AltSpace | Pause the agent, so you can take over |
| AltEsc | Stop it |
While an agent operates the Mac, Ruimte shows Pause, Resume and Stop session.
